| You could travel the length and breadth of the country to find a selection of original Victorian fire surrounds. Well to help you in your search I have been going round collecting them. As you can see my last hunting trip was very successful. For those of you who cannot see through the layers of paint believe me lurking hidden from view is the wonderful warm colour of antique pine. Occasionally we get some in their original paint which looks lovely left as they are but the majority have modern gloss paint finishes so we generally strip and wax as you can see in the following images. |
